A fan device is created, making possible simultaneous cooling and soundproofing of a fan in the fan device and preventing the reuse of heated cold air for cooling or as process air. The device comprises a first soundproof volume (3) with a duct for a fan inlet for process air (5), a duct for a fan outlet for process air (8), a first duct for cold air (10), and a second duct for cold air (11). The device further comprises another soundproof volume (15), wherein the second soundproof volume is divided into a first and a second surface (17a, 17b), wherein the first volume is connected to the second volume so that the first duct for cold air is in communication with the surroundings via the first surface and the second duct for cold air is in communication with the surroundings via the second surface. A method for cooling and soundproofing a fan is also provided. |
