PURPOSE: A ring manager selecting method and a node thereof are provided to select a new ring manage by reflecting a current packet traffic situation. CONSTITUTION: A ring network is operated in the state in which a ring manager is selected(S61). A node in which a ring manager selection is in charge of requests the diagnosis information about a packet traffic(S63). The node calculates a new node performing the role of a ring manager(S64). The node informs the information about the selected ring manager to each node(S65).
