PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a digital broadcasting is provided to transmit and receive a caption in a transmission environment based on an open cable and cable ready standard. CONSTITUTION: An MPEG demultiplexer(501) demultiplexes an MPEG-2 transport stream. A user processor(504) processes caption_service_descriptor information and caption information. A video parser(505) parses the decoded video data. A video synthesizer(509) generates a screen. A video reconstructor(511) encodes the generated caption of an analog CC decoder(506) in a twenty first line.
