The installation has a ditch (1) equipped with a bottom part (10) for collection and recovery of dejections of an animal and arranged at a bottom part of an openwork floor (2). Two surfaces (110, 111) of the bottom part of the ditch receive a liquid part of the dejections flowing out by gravity in a connection zone (112) of the surfaces. The connection zone is capped with a deflector (3) to isolate the deflector from fall of the dejections. The bottom part comprises a sufficient slope in a longitudinal direction to remove urine longitudinally under an effect of gravity. An independent claim is also included for a ditch bottom manufacturing method.
