Novelty: an easily-transportable, mountable and dismountable, manually or electrically-driven mechanism for the elevation and transport of bedridden persons (aged, paraplegic and quadriplegic patients) from one bed to another, to toilets, bathrooms or seats found in another place. Constitution: a double variable-width and variable-length base (&egr;, δ) bearing two parallel perpendicularly-set hoisting telescopic beams (&kgr;) the height of which is modified either via screwed rods ending in manually-operated levers or via hydraulic pressure; a detachable variable-width back rest &bgr; hanging from a pivot (τ) fixed on one from the two parallel horizontally-positioned variable-length beams (&eegr;) which, in turn, are perpendicularly connected to the corresponding vertical beams (&kgr;); pivoting foot rests (u) magnetically maintained in the upright position; variable-length or stable-length belts (ζ) meant for holding patients; wheels equipped with braking system; a chargeable condenser and a remote control provision.
