The system (1) has a sampling device (3) whose support (10) comprises a face that is provided with a black colored adhesive zone e.g. circular contour, to be applied against user's skin or scalp, and adapted to take scales. A protection element is superposed with the adhesive zone before introduction of the sampling device into an introduction opening (4) of an optical reader (2). The opening comprises a slot through which the sampling device is introduced. The protection element is transparent and opaque in a region superimposed with the adhesive zone. An independent claim is also included for method for carrying out measurement of an optical element on an adhesive zone carrying scales.
