<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment material for periodontal disease by using anti-Candida activity of protamine-degrading peptide, the treatment material exhibiting an extremely useful treatment effect which is not obtained in the prior arts, on periodontal disease of teeth or on gingivitis around a denture or implant. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment material for periodontal disease comprises an edible sheet containing protamine-decomposing peptide, or an edible sheet piece 1 prepared by cutting the edible sheet, or an edible sheet in a size as desired according to a case, cut from the sheet. The sheet is inserted into a periodontal disease affected site where inflammation occurs, or a periodontal pocket where inflammation in a gingiva is recognized, or in a root furcation area where inflammation in a gingiva is recognized, or in a gingiva between teeth where inflammation is found to thereby vanish inflammations in an area affected by periodontal disease and to tone up the gingiva, by the anticandidal activity of the protamine-decomposing peptide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
