<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue colored composition for color filters which is stable and excellent in terms of color characteristic, heat resistance, light resistance and solvent resistance and free from generation of foreign materials on a film and to provide a color filter using the same which is excellent in terms of color characteristic, heat resistance, light resistance and solvent resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A blue colored composition for color filters includes a colorant including a salt forming compound (A) composed of xanthene acid dye and an amine compound and a blue pigment and a resin.
