<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving the operability of turning the direction of the vicinity of a distal end of a catheter. <P>SOLUTION: This catheter has an annular structure in which a distal tubular member 4 and a proximal tubular member 5 are connected to each other. In the interior of the tubular member 4, tubes 41, 42 for penetrating an operating wire are provided on the outer peripheral side of the tubular member 4. In the interior of the tubular member 5, an inner cylinder 5b for penetrating the operating wire is provided in the central area of the section of the tubular member 5. An intermediate member 100 is installed between the tubes 41, 42 and the inner cylinder 5b. The tube 41 and the inner cylinder 5b are connected to each other by a passage 112 provided on the intermediate member 100. The tube 42 and the inner cylinder 5b are connected to each other by a passage 113 provided on the intermediate member 100.
