<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a wheel supporting rolling bearing unit with a seal ring, capable of effectively preventing entry of foreign matter such as high viscous muddy water into an inner space 15 mounted with a rolling element 4. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling bearing unit is mounted with an inner diameter side seal ring 17a having three seal lips between an inner circumferential surface of an outer end of an outer ring 2 and an outer circumferential surface of an intermediate part of a hub 3, and also an outer diameter side seal ring 18a with a canopy-like lip 20a on the outer circumferential surface of the outer end of the outer ring 2. Further, a drainage hole 21a is formed at a part positioned below a vehicle in a state of being installed to the vehicle, in the canopy-like lip 20a, and an opening width related to the circumferential direction of the drainage hole 21a is set to be 0.8% or more of the entire circumferential length of the canopy-like lip. This configuration can prevent clogging of a foreign matter such as high viscous muddy water in the opening of the drainage hole 21a, thus solving the problem. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
