<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device that has advantages in terms of restraining eccentricity of an optical element and facilitating the processing and the installation of the optical element. <P>SOLUTION: A holding device holds an optical element having an edge with the thickness thereof increased or decreased toward the inside. The holding device comprises: a lens barrel having an internal diameter larger than an external diameter of the optical element; a supporting unit that supports and positions the optical element in relation to the lens barrel in the axial direction thereof through a first surface of the edge; and a restriction unit that restricts the eccentricity of the optical element, has a regulation member facing a second surface of the edge located on the opposite side of the first surface in the axial direction, keeps a space with the second surface when the eccentricity of the optical element is smaller than a predetermined value within an allowable range, and makes a contact with the second surface when the eccentricity of the optical element reaches the predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
