<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a lubricating film reducing power consumption of a pump, while sufficiently suppressing abrasion of a sliding part, to enable energy saving of hydraulic equipment, etc., and a method for reducing power consumption of a pump. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming a lubricating film comprises: supplying a pump having a sliding part composed of steel and operated at a discharge pressure of not more than 20 MPa with a lubricating oil comprising at least one base oil (A) selected from mineral oil, fat and oil, and synthetic oil, a phosphorus- and sulfur-containing compound (B) comprising phosphorus and sulfur, and a phosphorus-containing compound (C) comprising no sulfur, wherein 0.0001-0.05 mass% of phosphorus is contained based on the total lubricating oil, and 0.0001-0.01 mass% of sulfur derived from the component (B) is contained based on the total lubricating oil; and thereby forming a lubricating film having a thickness of 50 nm or less on the surface of the sliding part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
