摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining abnormality of a lead-acid storage battery lattice body casting apparatus, the method capable of not only highly accurately detecting a form change present in a lattice body for use in a lead-acid storage battery quickly and accurately without allowing variation, but also determining an abnormality of the lead-acid storage battery lattice body casting apparatus, for example, the end of life of a mold release agent applied to a casting mold and a failure in the casting device on the basis of the detected form change in the lattice body. <P>SOLUTION: The method for detecting a form change in a cast lattice body used for a lead-acid storage battery and determining an abnormality of a lead-acid storage battery lattice body casting device includes the steps for: (a) illuminating a form change detection area of the lattice body for the lead-acid storage battery; (b) capturing an image of the illuminated form change detection area; (c) applying binarization processing and optional contraction processing to the captured image; (d) detecting a form change of the lattice body for the lead-acid storage battery in the processed image; and (e) determining the form change in the lattice body for the lead-acid storage battery from the detected form change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
