<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float glass manufacturing apparatus suitable for the use of a top roll. <P>SOLUTION: The float glass manyfacturing apparatus 10 forms a glass ribbon 14 by continuously supplying molten glass 11 to a bath surface 13 of a molten metal 12 and carries the glass ribbon 14 forward along the bath surface 13, the apparatus 10 containing: a plurality of top roll bodies 25A; a plurality of heaters; and a plurality of controllers, in which each portion obtained by dividing the heater area provided with a plurality of heaters to a plurality of rows to a cross direction and dividing each row to the width direction of the glass ribbon 14 is respectively provided with a plurality of heaters, and corrective controlling is performed by corresponding one controller. In a dividing portion 17 dividing the heater area to the cross direction, a distance L between the dividing portion 17 closest to the rotation center of the mostdownstream top roll body 25A and the rotation center of the body of the mostdownstream top roll in the cross direction is set to be within a predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
