<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability. <P>SOLUTION: A foldable recording and reproducing device 100 detects which one of a main face or a back face of a second housing 2 is exposed outside in a folding state. On the basis of the detection result, when the main face having a first display section 40 is exposed, an image of a display operation section to accept an operation input for displaying an image is displayed on a second display section 30 that is provided on a face 3 of a first housing 1.
