<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas fire extinguisher that controls sounds arising when a fire extinguishing gas is jetted out from a jetting head. <P>SOLUTION: The gas fire extinguisher includes a gas jetting head 13 having a nozzle 12 to jet out a high-pressure fire extinguishing gas toward air spaces, a conduit 14 connected with the jetting head 13 and passing the high-pressure gas into the jetting head 13, a fire extinguishing gas supply source 15 to supply the high pressure gas to the conduit 14, and a silencer 17f provided at the jetting head 13 and for reducing the sounds arising from the release of fire extinguishing gas from the nozzle 12. The silencer 17f includes a cylindrical circumferential wall 121, a terminal wall 122 formed at an axial end of cylindrical circumferential wall 121 and perpendicular to its axial line, an installation part 123 removably provided at the jetting head 13, and a porous metallic sound absorptive material 125 housed in an inner space 124 defined by the circumferential wall 121, the terminal wall 122 and the jetting head 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
