Method for measurement of gas flow rate in a pipeline includes measurement with period of measurementof volumetric gas flow ratefor the first flow rate meter and determination of volume of gas at set time intervals. One performs control of determination of gas flow rate with period, beginning of which coincides with the beginning of one of periods of measurement, duration is, whereis a given whole number, through simultaneous with measurement of volumetric gas flow ratemeasurement of volumetric gas flow ratein that very pipeline by means of the second flow rate meter, determination of volume of gas, measured with first flow rate meter for the period of control, and gas volume, measured by the second flow rate meter for the same period of control. After the end of each period of control, determination of equality of volumes of gas obtained by measurements of flow rate by the firstand the secondflow rate meters with account of uncertainty of measurement with each flow rate meter. At equality of the volumesandone considers that metrological failure is absent, and information of absence of metrological failure is generated. At inequality one considers that failure of the first of the second flow rate meter takes place, and one generates information on metrological failure coming to existence. |
