<p>This invention relates to a hurdle for hurdle racing with two hollow base parts/feet (1) arranged at a distance from one another and designed to rest on a supporting surface, wherein a counterweight (25) is displaceably arranged in each base part (1), tubular elements (2, 3) extending vertically in relation to the supporting surface are fixed to one end of each base part (1), with each tubular element consisting of two tubes (2 and 3 respectively) displaceable telescopically relative to one another, means (9, 10, 13, 15) are provided for locking the telescopic tubes (2, 3) relative to one another and a bar (4) connects the upper ends of the tubes (3) situated furthest away from the associated base part (1). The hurdle according to this invention is characterised in that a strip-type force-transmitting means (20) extends from the hollow space in each base part (1) to the associated tubular element (2, 3), that the force-transmitting means (20) is connected to the tube (3) supporting the bar (4), that a gear transmission device (22, 23, 40) is arranged in each base part (1) and that the gear transmission device (22, 23, 40) engages both with the strip-type force-transmitting means (20) and with a driver means (21) for the counterweight (25).</p> |
