PURPOSE: An optical sheet automatic assembly system of a backlight unit and method thereof are provided to reduce the working space of an optical sheet assembly process by minimizing the problem of a optical sheet damage and assembly fault in the optical sheet assembly process. CONSTITUTION: A main conveyor apparatus(81) returns optical sheets(101-104) to a linear direction. A new conveyor apparatus(110) receives the light sheet by moving a belt(115). The other light sheet is accumulated on the main conveyor apparatus by moving the belt. A non-connection returning apparatus is connected to the light source sheet in order to return the light source to the main conveyor apparatus or the new conveyor apparatus.
