<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device that can be formed in fewer steps and more easily or that can be formed inexpensively, and a method for manufacturing the light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device comprises: a semiconductor light-emitting element that includes a light-emitting part for emitting light, a first electrode provided on a front side of the light-emitting part, a second electrode provided on a rear side of the light-emitting part and that has a trapezoidal-shaped light emission face expanding from the rear side to the surface side; a first lead wire connected to the first electrode; a second lead wire connected to the second electrode; and a glass that has translucency for the light emitted from the semiconductor light-emitting element and that seals or adhesively-seals the periphery of a part of the semiconductor light-emitting element, the first lead wire and the second lead wire. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
