MOTOR-DRIVEN WHEELCHAIR AND CHARGING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven wheelchair and a charging device for automatically charging a battery while eliminating the need of periodic battery charging by supplying power from a vehicle in the motor-driven wheelchair that can be attached to and detached from the vehicle.

SOLUTION: Regarding a motor-driven wheelchair 4 and a charging device, the motor-driven wheelchair 4 includes: a battery that becomes a power source of a driving motor; a charger for charging the battery; and a first junction switch 7 for transmitting power to the charger. The charging device includes: a vehicle battery 8 for supplying power to the charger; and a second junction switch 9 which can be fitted with the first junction switch 7 and transmits power. Furthermore, there are provided a current sensor for measuring a current inputted to and outputted from the battery; an ECU for arithmetically operating information of the current sensor; a cord and an attachment plug connectable with a home AC receptacle; and a coil for charging with no contact.
