<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of shortening the time required until the output of a print result by switching between "RIP While Print" and "RIP Then Print" appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing apparatus includes a microprocessor unit 311 acquiring attribute information on a print job from the received print job, determining whether RIP (raster image processing) of a page to be printed next to an m-th page can be completed while carrying out print processing of the m-th page included in the print job in the case of carrying out RIP and print processing based on the attribute information, determining a first printing method as a printing method to start print processing before the end of RIP of all the pages included in the print job in the case of determining that RIP of the page to be printed next to the m-th page can be completed, while determining a second printing method as the printing method to start print processing after the completion of RIP of all the pages included in the print job in the case of determining that RIP of the page cannot be completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
