<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viewpoint converting device, method, and program for an image, capable of producing an image from a different viewpoint direction with a high degree of accuracy in real time. <P>SOLUTION: Meshes 63a to 63c based on a viewpoint converting model are created on a GPU 14. A coordinate of an image pixel before changing the viewpoint as a texture coordinate and a coordinate of the image pixel after changing the viewpoint as a corresponding vertex coordinate are given to each vertex of the meshes 63a to 63c. The meshes 63a to 63c are further given plane information to connect each vertex of the meshes 63a to 63c. The images 61a to 61c taken by cameras 18a to 18c are attached to the meshes 63a to 63c as texture, allowing the GPU 14 to perform drawing.
