<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fringed cylindrical fabric which can be integrally produced by a flat-knitting machine, exhibits good production efficiency and can be replaced with products produced by other methods. <P>SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. (a), a fringed cylindrical fabric 1 is provided with a fringe portion 3 including a plurality of fringe threads 3a around a shrinking cylindrical fabric portion 2. In a flat-knitting machine, the fringed cylindrical fabric 1 is integrally knitted as a fringed fabric 1z shown in Fig. (b). A cylindrical fabric 2z is knitted by using a thermal melting elastic yarn as knitting threads. When the whole fringed fabric 1z is heated after knitting, a part of the components of the thermal melting elastic yarn melts, dents into the fringe threads 3a and fixes in the same. As the cylindrical fabric 2z shrinks by heating, the clogging of stitches occurs so that the fringe threads 3a are also held by the knitting stitches, thereby making it possible to firmly hold the fringe threads 3a even without sewing by a sewing machine.
