<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination unit that widely spreads a range of outgoing light to the front side of a light guide plate while using an LED having such a defect as point-lighting, and is improved in performance effect by utilizing the point-lighting. <P>SOLUTION: A light guide forms: a first light passage which makes a part A of the outgoing light from the LED 21 penetrate the center of a light receiving region 31, and makes it outgo from the center 32a of an opposing outgoing region 32; a second light passage which makes a part B of the outgoing light reflected at part of the light receiving region 31, and makes it outgo from the opposing outgoing region 32 at the outside-diameter side rather than the first light passage; a third light passage which makes a part C of the outgoing light reflected at part of a spread inner-reflection region 37, and makes it outgo from a spared outgoing region 35 at the outside-diameter side rather than the second light passage; and a forth light passage which makes a part D of the outgoing light inner-reflected at the spread outgoing region 35 after making it inner-reflected at part of the opposing outgoing region 32, makes it further inner-reflected at a spread inner-reflection region 34A, and makes it outgo from the spread outgoing region 35 at the outside-diameter side rather than the third light passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
