META-TYPE WHOLLY AROMATIC POLYAMIDE SHORT FIBER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide short fiber coated with meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide polyether sulfone having good breaking strength and excellent dimensional stability during high-temperature treatment.

SOLUTION: The short fiber is obtained from the meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber obtained by the steps of appropriately controlling the ingredients or condition in a coagulation bath to make a compact coagulated form without skin-core structure, plastically drawing the coagulated product in the range of a specific ratio, and then performing a hot drawing step under the specific condition.
