<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that, in a split structure, makes uniform growth attainable in a crown part while securing an envelope characteristic and that can thereby reduce center wearability. <P>SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire 1 for heavy load, a first belt layer 11 is a split structure. A second belt layer 13 and a third belt layer 15 are installed on the outer circumference of the first belt layer 11. A first hard rubber layer 25 is provided in an intermediate region in the first belt layer 11, and has a higher elastic modulus than that of a coating rubber surrounding the steel cord of the first belt layer 11. A belt edge cushion rubber layer 31 is provided at both ends in the tire width direction between the second belt layer 13 and the third belt layer 15. A soft rubber layer 29 is provided on the inner side in the tire width direction from the belt edge cushion rubber layer 31 between the second belt layer 13 and the third belt layer 15, and has a lower elastic modulus than that of the belt edge cushion rubber layer 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
