<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for causing random deletion of functions of an intracellular DNA in a genus Rhodococcus bacterium; and to provide the genus Rhodococcus bacterium strain prepared by this method. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided: the method for inserting a straight-chain DNA into the genome of the bacterium by transforming this bacterium belonging to genus Rhodococcus by using a straight-chain DNA fragment including an arbitrary sequence (preferably, one or more selective marker genes); the method for randomly losing the functions of the intracellular DNA of the bacterium; and a transformant prepared by this method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
