<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical instrument wherein the motions of a head instrument and an effector use a transmission of a simple structure in the head instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The surgical instrument having the movable head instrument includes: a handle instrument; a shaft instrument 2 with which the handle instrument is connected; the head instrument 4 which internally has the effector 3 being supported in a manner to be able to rotate with the major axis of the head instrument 4 as the axis is provided while being the head instrument 4 which is connected with the distal end section of the shaft instrument 2 in a manner to be turnable through a hinge or a pin; and a mechanical transmission system which is arranged in the shaft instrument 2, and transmits a mechanical operation signal from the handle instrument to the head instrument 4 for the turning and/or the rotating movement. The effector 3 and the mechanical transmission system are directly connected in such a manner that a hollow spring 30 which is flexible to bending and also, has torsional rigidity is arranged by bypassing the hinge shaft or the pin, and the rotation signal may be transmitted to the effector 3 through the hollow spring 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
