<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compact constitution in an automatic document feeder equipped with two or more switching guides. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic document feeder (ADF) includes a document conveying route having a first branch part and a second branch part at which the route is branched, an upper switching guide 75 and a lower switching guide 76. The upper switching guide 75 can switch the document conveying route at the first branch part. The lower switching guide 76 can switch the document conveying route at the second branch part. The upper switching guide 75 and the lower switching guide 76 can be moved to a position where they are mutually overlapped when seen from a width direction of the document. At the second branch part, the document is guided to constitute a state where the document is guided by a part where the upper switching guide 75 and the lower switching guide 76 are overlapped when seen from the width direction of the document and a state where the document is conveyed between the upper switching guide 75 and the lower switching guide 76. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
