<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable in which a holding tape for covering an opening of a slot groove is eliminated to reduce the complexity of its manufacturing process, and a stuck problem of the optical fiber cable stored in the slot groove is solved to improve its reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 10A comprises: a slot core 11 having a slot groove 12 for storing an optical fiber 13 therein, and a sheath 14 for coating around the slot core. In the slot core 11, a cover 17 which shields an opening 16 of the slot groove 12 for taking out the optical fiber stored in the slot groove is coupled with the slot core by being formed integrally therewith. A notch 18 which facilitates the separation of the cover is provided along the longitudinal direction of the cable at a coupled part between both ends of the cover 17 in the circumference direction thereof and both side edges of the opening of the slot groove. Adhesion force between the cover 17 and the sheath 14 is designed to be greater than the force required for the separation of the cover 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
