<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus with a position detection function which enables to improve position detection accuracy of a target object according to an increase in measuring frequency. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical position detection device 10 of an apparatus 1 with position detection function, a detecting light source 12 emits a detection light L2 to a visible surface 41, and a light detector 30 detects the detection light reflected by a target object Ob so as to detect coordinates of the target object Ob. A first detecting light source 12A, a second detecting light source 12B, a third detecting light source 12C and a fourth detecting light source 12D are arranged in a circumferential direction around the light detector 30 when viewed from a detection space 10R, and a distance from the light detector 30 to each detecting light source is different.
