摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle braking device which efficiently performs recovery of thermal energy generated with braking, while braking a vehicle suitably, by changing a heat capacity with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A brake drum 11 includes a disk portion 11a and a friction sliding portion 11b. In the outside of the sliding portion 11b, a heat capacity enhancing ring 21 is provided coaxially through an air gap 21e. Thereby, the sliding portion 11b can be set apart from the ring 21 through the air gap 21e when the temperature is low, when the temperature is high, thermally expands making it possible to be connected with the ring 21, allowing the change of the heat capacity. Moreover, between the disk portion 11a and the sliding portion 11b, a thermoelectric conversion portion 22 is held. Thereby, the thermoelectric conversion portion 22 can recover the thermal energy as the electric energy according to the temperature difference of a heated surface 22a contacting the sliding portion 11b and a cooled surface 22b contacting the disk portion 11a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
