<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device whose thickness dimension is reduced while having enhanced reusability and versatility of a pivot holder. <P>SOLUTION: A holder tubular section 31 and a mounting leg 33 are separate bodies. The holder tubular section 31 and the mounting leg 33 are integrated with each other by hooking each claw part 33b of the mounting leg 33 on each projected part 31a of the holder tubular section 31. The stiffness of each projected part 31a is one with which the hooking is released when an impact load F1 is exerted on a DR-side pivot shaft 17a. This allows the mounting leg 33 to be reused, thereby enhancing reusability of a DR-side pivot holder 30. Additionally, by releasing the hooking of each projected part 31a and each claw part 33b, the holder tubular section 31 and the mounting leg 33 can be separated from each other, thereby suppressing an increase in the thickness dimension of the wiper device 14 when compared to a conventional structure that moves the pivot shaft with respect to the pivot holder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
