<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for handling paper sheets, which suppresses a decrease in processing efficiency, which is caused by erroneous detection in a detection section for detecting an abnormality in conveyance. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 300 for handling the paper sheets includes: a first conveying path 361 for conveying the paper sheets; a second conveying path 362 connected to the first conveying path 361; the detection section for detecting the abnormality in the conveyance of the paper sheets through the second conveying path 362; and a conveyance control section for controlling the conveyance of the paper sheets through the first and second conveying paths 361 and 362. When the abnormality in the conveyance is detected by the detection section, the conveyance control section makes the paper sheets on the first conveying path conveyed as the paper sheets for the checking of the abnormality to the second conveying path 362. When the paper sheets for the checking of the abnormality are conveyed through the second conveying path 362, the conveyance control section stops the conveyance of the paper sheets through the first and second conveying paths 361 and 362 in the case of the detection of the abnormality in the conveyance, and continues the conveyance of the paper sheets through the first and second conveying paths 361 and 362 in the case of the nondetection of the abnormality in the conveyance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
