The housing (1) has a hollow-chamber section (2) provided with a primary chamber (3) for a battery cell e.g. lithium ion battery cell, and a secondary chamber (4) for a temperature control medium, where the secondary chamber partially encloses the primary chamber at side surfaces. The hollow-chamber section is designed as an extruded section. An inner surface (5) of the primary chamber is electrically insulated, and an inner wall (8) of the secondary chamber has a rib-shaped or wave-shaped cross section. The hollow-chamber section is formed with a blow-off channel (6).
