摘要 PURPOSE: A system for measuring river vertical velocity distribution and a measuring method thereof are provided to shorten a measurement time and accurately measure the vertical velocity distribution of a natural river using a Doppler signal interpretive method. CONSTITUTION: A system for measuring river vertical velocity distribution(100) comprises a water depth measuring unit(110), a maximum velocity calculating unit(120), a SPRF(Single Pulse Repetition Frequency) mode executor(130), and a measurement mode converting unit(150). The water depth measuring unit measures the vertical water depth of a river. The maximum velocity calculating unit produces a maximum velocity value which corresponds to water depth data using a pulse repetition frequency. The SPRF(Single Pulse Repetition Frequency) mode executor measures the vertical velocity distribution of a river and sets the fastest flux as the representative value of flux using a single ultrasonic wave pulse signal which is applied with a pulse recurrence frequency. The measurement mode conversing unit compares the maximum velocity value with the representative value of the flux. A measurement mode is not converted if the maximum velocity value is greater than the representative value of the flux. The measurement mode is converted to a MPRF(Multiple Pulse Repetition Frequency) mode if the maximum velocity value is lower than the representative value of the flux.
