摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a highly-rigid and lightweight propeller shaft, which simplifies positioning a tube to a york and forms a bonded surface entirely with uniform and high bonding strength. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step of diffusion bonding of a yoke and a tube, wherein: the yoke and the tube, where the internal periphery of a recess in the york provides a larger diameter relative to that of the outer periphery of the tube, are provided; a bottom of the recess and an end surface of the tube in the axial direction are abutted with the end surface guided on a first tapered surface of the recess; and the bottom and the end surface are heated with the bottom and the end surface pressed, resulting in buckling and deforming the tube and abutting the external periphery of the tube and the internal periphery of the recess. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
