<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an in-vehicle extra length absorption component capable of absorbing an extra length of an optical cable without exerting any adverse influence on the optical cable. <P>SOLUTION: Each of circular pins 11-13 provided inside a protector body 2 has a circular take-up portion of the same radius R1 in a plane view and inter-center distances between the circular pins 11 and 12 and between the circular pins 12 and 13 are set equal. The radius R1 of the circular pins 11-13 is set to such a value as to satisfy an allowable bending radius of an optical cable subjected to extra length absorption. Intermediate auxiliary members 21, 22 are provided at both sides of the circular pin 12 to configure a pair of auxiliary extra length absorbing members. Outer-most auxiliary members 31, 32 are provided at both sides of a combination of the circular pins 11-13 to configure a pair of auxiliary extra length absorbing members. Each of side surfaces 21s, 22s and side surfaces 31s, 32s of the intermediate auxiliary members 21, 22 and the outer-most auxiliary members 31, 32 presents an arcuate shape having a radius equal to or larger than the radius R1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
