<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight vehicle wheel at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A casting mold used in a casting process includes vertically oppositely arranged first and second molds 51 and 52 and a horizontal mold 53 divided into a plurality, and each of the horizontal molds includes a circular arc-shaped collar part 53x projecting over the total length of its inner periphery. In the casting process, a preform 1A having at least a disk 10 is cast by filling molten metal in a molding cavity 55 of the casting mold existing in a closing state. At that time, a first spoke part 12a arranged in a radial shape by mutually separating in the peripheral direction, is molded between the first mold 51 and the collar part 53x of the horizontal mold 53, a second spoke part 12b arranged in a radial shape by mutually separating in the peripheral direction, is molded between the second mold 52 and the collar part 53x, an annular ring-shaped draft space is formed in the preform 1A by filling up a part of the molding cavity 55 with the collar part 53x of the horizontal mold 53, and the first and second spoke parts 12a and 12b are separated in the axial direction via the draft space.
