<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a notification device having a configuration which enables a user who views a display unit to immediately understand a state. <P>SOLUTION: A bridge alarm device (notification device) includes a stage control unit, a counting unit, a reset unit, the display unit, and a display control unit. Two or more (five) stages about what alarm is to be generated are set in the stage control unit. When a set time set for each of the stages elapses, the stage control unit advances the stage to a next step. The counting unit counts the set time. The reset unit resets the stage and the count. A display unit 33 displays a changing state of time in a current stage.
