A transmission method and system for Relay Physical Downlink Control Channel (R-PDCCH) are provided by the present invention. The method includes the following steps: a base station bears downlink authorization information of the relay node onto the available Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) symbols of the pre-allocated first time slot of the physical resource block pair for bearing R-PDCCH, and the available OFDM symbols, in the physical resource block pair, except the OFDM symbols used for the downlink authorization information, are used for bearing Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) of each relay node (S602'); the base station transmits the physical resource block pair bearing the downlink authorization information and the PDSCH to the relay node (S604'). Application of the present invention is well applicable for the link between the base station and relay node, and enables the backhaul resources to be used adequately at the same time.
