PURPOSE: A flat panel display device and manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the side of pollution in a substrate and a mold for an implant by blocking the movement of resin for the implant. CONSTITUTION: A thin pattern is formed by pressing resin for an implant on a substrate(101). An outer thin film pattern(120) blocks the movement of the resin for the implant using the separation point of the substrate and the mold for the implant. The outer thin film pattern is formed in the outside of the thin film pattern. The thin film pattern forms the overcoat layer(106) of a liquid crystal display device. The outer thin film pattern forms the bottom side of the overcoat layer. The liquid crystal display device includes a color filter(104) and a black matrix(102).
