PURPOSE: A synthetic peptide with an anti-inflammatory activity is provided to suppress inflammatory activity of macrophage or cancer cells and to treat inflammatory diseases. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic peptide with an anti-inflammatory activity contains PTD(protein transduction domain) peptides and peptides having amino acids selected from the group consisting of amino acids of sequence numbers 1-5. A pharmaceutical composition for anti-inflammation contains the synthetic peptides as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition is used for treating cancer, arteriosclerosis, or rheumatic arthritis.
