<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method giving excellent glossiness to an image formed on a record medium, and reducing a blot of the image and giving the image of a high color concentration. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method includes the first process of discharging droplets of a radiation curable ink composition from a discharge head which can discharge the radiation curable ink composition on the record medium by using an inkjet recording apparatus, and the second process of irradiating the droplets with active radiation by an irradiation means which can radiate the active radiation. In the second process, the difference of the accumulated irradiation energy between the droplets of the highest accumulated irradiation energy of the active radiation and the droplets of the lowest accumulated irradiation energy of the active radiation among the droplets of the radiation curable ink composition to which the active irradiation is irradiated is ≥30% and ≤50% of the irradiation energy (E<SB POS="POST">90</SB>) [mJ/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>] necessary for curing the radiation curable ink composition to a degree of 90%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
