<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a battery life without sacrificing a battery drive time. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus is configured to receive power respectively from a first battery and from a second battery having a longer charging/discharging cycle life than that of the first battery. The information processing apparatus includes a power source circuit and a charging means. In the case where the first battery and the second battery are capable of performing discharging, the power source circuit more preferentially discharges the second battery than the first battery in order to supply power to components in the information processing apparatus.
