<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring the heat conductivity of scales, which is capable of measuring the heat conductivity of scales on the inner surface of the model of an actual boiler tube with lower producing cost, higher measurement accuracy and reduced measuring time. <P>SOLUTION: An alternating current from an alternating current power supply flows through a testing tube and the tube is heated by Joule heat. The heat value is proportional to the intensity of a current on a heating wire, a voltage on a heating wire, a time during which the current flows. Instead of using conventional, costly ceramic heaters, a tube itself is heated by the current flowing through it. A pressure holding valve is added and measurements are performed with a pressure raised to a supercritical pressure. For confirming that scales are completely removed during an acid cleaning process, a device for measuring the heat conductivity of scales includes a system to automatically stop the device when confirming that scales are completely dissolved and an iron ion concentration is saturated by measuring the iron concentration in a pickle.
