The system has an ink storage chamber arranged at an underside of a housing (12). An ink terminal connects the ink storage chamber with a supply terminal for an inkjet printer when an ink cartridge (10) is inserted into a cartridge retainer. A ventilation opening is arranged at the underside of the housing and arranged adjacent to the ink terminal, where the opening and the ink terminal are jointly assigned around a screw cap (14). The cap comprises a shutter plate closing the opening in a closed-end state of the cap.
