<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-phase inverter device capable of efficiently suppressing the occurrence of pulsating current even in a transient operating state. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-phase inverter device includes carrier waveform selecting means which respectively independently determines whether to non-invert or invert a carrier signal to be reference as a carrier waveform for generating a duty signal to be used for PWM control in each carrier period and in each phase. When selecting the non-inversion or inversion of the carrier signal in one phase, the carrier waveform selecting means selects the magnitude of a ripple of input current of a semiconductor module on the basis of the instantaneous real phase current and instantaneous duty command value of the one phase, and the instantaneous real phase current, instantaneous duty command values and carrier waveform selection results of all phases with a carrier waveform already selected in the other phases by using an evaluation expression for evaluating the magnitude of a ripple of input current of the semiconductor module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
