<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium that can be improved in recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the optical information recording medium which has a recording layer 11 including a thermoplastic resin and particles of inorganic oxide dispersed in the thermoplastic resin. The particles of the inorganic oxide are subjected to a surface treatment using a silane coupling agent. The thermoplastic resin has in a structural unit one or more functional groups selected out of a carbonyl group and an alkoxycarbonyl group.
